CM Carbon Chain grades include 30, 43 and 70 which are not to be used in overhead lifting. Grade 30 is a general purpose, non-heat-treated, low carbon chain for industrial, agricultural, and light-duty applications. Grade 43 is a non-heat-treated carbon steel chain with typically the same applications as Grade 30. However, Grade 43 contains a higher strength to weight ratio, resulting in a smaller diameter chain with the same working load limit. For over-the-road truckers, Grade 70 is the carbon chain of choice. This transport chain also has numerous applications for road crews and municipal workers. Hooks and related attachments allow workers to select the exact chain product to meet the needs of the job.
